Painter of nature, inspired by the wild west coast of Canada.
My entire life I have held an intense fascination with water, and a great deal of respect for the ocean and its powerful embodiment. Through my paintings I hope to transport you to the shoreline — to the salt air, the crash of the waves, and the cool mist of the spray.
I studied Fine Arts in Kelowna before moving to Tofino, on the west coast of British Columbia. Living by the ocean deepened my connection to nature and drew me to paint the local waters, wildlife, and flora. It's also where I fell for surfing and hiking — pursuits that still take me out into the landscapes I paint.
Now back in the Okanagan, I continue to explore British Columbia's wild places, gathering the scenery I encounter while hiking as inspiration. My hope is that this representational work encourages a deeper appreciation for the natural world, and a desire to protect its delicate balance.
